First I thought, 16? Why not 17? And then I remembered that 17 didn't launch until much later in the year. There simply was not enough year left when the iPhone 17 launched.
However, at this point, the base iPhone 17 is a better buy than basically any other iPhone. I wish they'd come up with a 18 plus this year but it is not looking so hot. Rumor has it that the fold is launching so I am not too excited that we will have an iPhone 18 plus.
